Extrusion lines for medical film

Medical film is an extruded plastic film used in disposable devices, protective covers and sterile packaging systems. In clinical settings, it is used to produce rigid blisters, barrier pouches, packaging membranes and cover sheets for examination beds, surfaces and operating tables.
The film must ensure a regular surface, constant thickness and compatibility with the main sterilisation processes, including ETO, gamma and steam.

Film flatness is the ability of the film to maintain a uniform surface, free from deformation or waviness. This parameter is essential for healthcare applications where the material must adhere correctly to surfaces, ensure uniform thermoformability, reliable sealing and protection against environmental contamination. In hospital and outpatient departments, extruded film is also used to produce disposable covers for beds, seats and operating areas, helping reduce the risk of cross-infection between patients.

Bausano lines enable the production of films with thicknesses from 0.1 to 1 mm, with real-time control of thickness and width, automatic winding and digital management of line parameters.
