Complete pipe production lines with advanced process control

Bausano designs complete extrusion lines for plastic pipes, integrating single-screw or twin-screw extruders, extrusion dies, calibration units, cooling systems, haul-off units, cutting and discharge systems. Each plant is engineered to ensure melt homogeneity, process repeatability, and a tailor-made configuration based on material type, pipe diameter, and required production speed. The entire system is built on a high-efficiency modular architecture, designed for digital control and connectivity with real-time monitoring systems via IoT and artificial intelligence.
The lines are suitable for processing PVC, CPVC, HDPE, LDPE, PP and WPC, for the production of smooth or corrugated pipes, single-layer or multilayer, with diameters ranging from 16 to 1,200 mm. The process includes material plasticization, flow through the die head, dimensional calibration, cooling, and cutting or coiling. Each component is designed to ensure uniform thermal control along the barrel, thanks to the use of the induction heating system, which reduces energy consumption and guarantees stable plasticization, consistent melt quality, and optimal surface finish of the extruded pipe.

Bausano’s pipe extrusion lines are designed to process a wide range of thermoplastic materials, ensuring high process performance and compatibility with both standard and complex formulations. Processable materials include PVC, CPVC, HDPE, LDPE, PP and WPC, with configurations available for single-layer or multilayer pipes, smooth or corrugated, suitable for multiple industrial sectors.

  • PO, Polyolefins such as PE (Polyethylene), PP (Polypropylene), HDPE, LDPE

    HDPE and LDPE → Suitable for gas and pressurized water networks, drainage systems, irrigation, sewer systems, and cable protection.

  • PVC- or Polyolefin-based WPC

    WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) → Ideal for lightweight ducting, structural pipes for construction, and visible outdoor systems, offering advantages in terms of durability and sustainability.

Thermoplastic pipes for every application sector: from civil construction to advanced industry

Bausano has developed specific expertise in the production of PO and PVC pipes through its E-GO single-screw extruders, MD parallel twin-screw extruders, and E-ON conical twin-screw extruders. Bausano’s pipe extrusion lines are used in complex and diversified applications: from drinking water distribution systems to drainage and sewer networks, from pressure pipes for gas and industrial fluids to ducting systems for heating, electrical networks, telecommunications, agricultural irrigation, and drainage. Each system is compatible with a wide range of materials, including PVC, CPVC, HDPE, LDPE, PP and WPC, also in recycled or reinforced formulations.
The lines are composed of feeding hoppers, high-efficiency screws and barrels, spiral extrusion dies, calibration and cooling tanks, haul-off units, planetary or rotary cutting systems, and, where required, coilers or automatic discharge systems. The mechanical configuration and thermal management are engineered to ensure dimensional consistency, high line speeds, and waste reduction, even for large diameters and variable wall thicknesses.
The use of fully recyclable materials, compatibility with regenerated compounds, and the ability to reduce specific energy consumption (kWh/kg) make Bausano solutions fully aligned with the principles of the circular economy. All systems are developed by the Bausano Research & Development Department, active since 1946, and are supplied with a complete service package, including technical training, after-sales support, spare parts supply, and remote performance monitoring.

Bausano’s polyolefin extrusion lines cover the production of HDPE, LDPE, PP, PP-R and PP-HM pipes for gas networks, water supply, sewer systems, cable ducts, and drainage applications. The systems ensure high productivity, integrated co-extrusion management, and include patented energy-saving technologies, such as the Multidrive system and induction heating.

Bausano extrusion lines are engineered to achieve high hourly output, reaching up to 2,000 kg/h for PE100, while maintaining stable melt quality and precise thermal control throughout the entire process. The range includes parallel and conical twin-screw extruders for PVC and CPVC, as well as E-GO single-screw extruders for polyolefins, equipped with custom screw geometries and an induction heating system, enabling low-temperature processing with high output efficiency. The induction heating system applied to the barrel ensures uniform and responsive heat transfer, reducing specific energy consumption.
